Montalbert at a height of 1350m is a beautiful Alpine village in the heart of one of the world's biggest ski regions with direct access to over 460km of pistes.
The slopes are north facing and sit in a clearing in the forest. The tree lined slopes keep their snow better than a lot of high altitude resorts. A network of interconnecting chairlifts takes you right up to the topmost resorts: even floodlit night skiing is organised weekly on one of the Montalbert slopes.
Montalbert is ideal for families and it caters very well for an international audience. The ski school is run by ESF (Ecole de ski de Francais) and they offer lessons from the age of 3 years and up. There is a cinema, kids club and creche. The Maison Montalbert has a full program of activities throughout the ski season.
